Default Energy in mode. Effective mass.

Hello.
I am performing a Modal analysis of some object. And I need some how to extract the energy in every mode. Is it somehow possible?

Also what the effective mass stands for. If I am correct, it corresponds to "significance" of the mode. Are there some physical equasions?
