In fluent, I've solved a case , then wanted to write a profile from setup>boundary condition>profile>write ... to read it again in a new case boundary condition but the result was an error of "Uninitialized flow field".what is the solution ?

Also can this problem be solved in CFX ?

Hi

I have problem calculating the solution in fluent. Once I initialize and then hit the calculate bottom the following error occurs:

" Error at Node 6: Iterate: uninitialized flow field

Error: Iterate: uninitialized flow field
Error Object: #f "


Does anybody know how to solve this problem and why this error comes up?

Two things.
1. Try in serial mode.
2. Make sure you are not doing any post-processing that expects variables to exist, although this would normally throw a segmentation fault.

Actually I tried parallel form but again I had similar error :

Error: Iterate: uninitialized flow field
Error: Iterate: uninitialized flow field
Error Object: #f


And also I don't have any post processing.

Did you initialize it in serial?

Make sure you initialize the case and then read in the profile.
