Transferring 3D data to 2D axisymmetric
Hello. I am building a cavitation model using Fluent 15. I recently started a simulation which reached an advanced stage, but at one point there is divergence of the solution. The nature of the problem has led me to fix the blame on a progression stage of the cavitation due to the 3D simulation. Due to the extremely heavy computational nature, I wish to not discard the 3D results, but shift them to an identical 2D axisymmetric model, where I wish to continue the simulation. Is there a possibility of doing that in Fluent? It shouldn't be difficult to simply slice off a portion of the 3D domain and attach the results to the 2D axisymmetric model.
Thanks!
