Dividing the shroudmesh of an impeller

Hello,

I want to simulate a compressor with casing treatments (one circumferential, and another on different positions). I create the impeller mesh with Turbogrid and the mesh for the casing treatment with Meshing or ICEM. The problem is to fit the casing treatment in CFX Pre to right position or area/plane/mesh, because the shroud has no area, which fits correctly to the casing treatment. I only can chose the whole shroud, which is not that what I want to.

Question:
Is their an option to separate the shroud into different parts in turbogrid, cfx pre, etc. that I can fit them togehter. Or do someone know a better way to handle this problem.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi
By using the stp format or other format ln Catia software or Solid work software or even design modeler of Ansys, the geometry modification for meshing process will be done.

Hi, I´m having the same problem...Did you manage to divide the shroud from Turbogrid?
