Inflation error in narrow passage

Hi,

I am fairly new to CFD and am working on meshing a complex flow domain in ansys mesher for CFX. There are named sections in the passage and due to narrow passage(along axial direction) inflation is showing error. I am not able to continue ahead. I tried playing around with the settings of inflation (growth rate, number of layers, inflation option) but nothing is working.

Can anyone help me on this issue?
Thanks in advance

post a pic with the problem area of mesh and one with the settings you are using!

Try to increase the "num cells across gap"

Hi,

You may try with the advanced size function: Proximity and Curvature. It may probably solve your problem.

Thanks.
