Hey Experts,

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice concerning DesignXplorer.

In workbench, I am modeling a nozzle which is coupled with the DesignXplorer application and I am trying to get an idea of how the nozzle behaves when I change the geometry and vary the flow rate between 1000<RE<100,000. The model is in 2D to make it very fast.

After running the base model, I got bad statistical results (Simulations made sense however) so I went with the recommended Kriging response which requires additional refinement points and verification points to increase the quality of fit.

My question is how many refinement points should I push into this model before it is likely necessary to switch to another type of response method. In the tutorials, they used about 4 points but this is way too little. I am sitting at ~65 points generated so far and I am not getting very close to the relative % error of 5.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

Liam

Default Does it influence very much for the refinement points
