Issues Importing Geometry (Hyperloop Design)
Hello everyone,
I have been trying for the past few days to use ANSYS to analyze a model I've made in Solidworks for my Hyperloop design team. Another member of my team has been trying it as well, and neither of us are having any luck. The main issue is linking the geometry to ANSYS. I have noticed a number of posts regarding similar issues, and none of them have resolutions, and if they do, they did not work for me (it was usually just reinstalling). I am using ANSYS 16.2 (via Student Installation), and Solidworks 2014. Here is a rundown of the issue/attempted solutions. · In Solidworks (2014), ANSYS does not appear under "Other Add-ins". · Supposed solution: configure ANSYS for Solidworks. · When trying to "Configure Selected CAD Interfaces" in CAD Configuration Manager 16.2: Prerequisites ..... Configure Success· Supposed solution: try importing model in ANSYS. · When trying to load geometry into Workbench: "The selected file is of an unsupported or unconfigured Geometry type."· Supposed solution: use IGS · Result of using IGS: "Error: Import failed"· Solution: Reinstall · Result: It doesn't effect enemy ANSYS. Thank you for any help! iiWolf |
Educational Version?
Bump/Update
Could it be that we are using the educational version of Solidworks? We have tried it on multiple computers with no luck still. Thanks |
