Dear Friends,
I am simulation journal bearing using ansys workbench. The clearance between shaft and bearing is 400 microns. The inlet pressure is 101325 pa and outlet pressure i have assumed is 0 Pa. The operating speed is 1500 RPM. After running simulations i am getting the maximum pressure at the inlet pipe. Instead it should be at the minimum film thickness position. From plot it appears that the flow is chocked at inlet pipe. But it is not the case. The pressure contour is attached herewith. Plz help. |
