Transient heat up with temperature as stop criteria

Hello,
I am currently working with Ansys Mechanical 17.2 to do some simulations for my master thesis. The goal of the simulations is to get the necessary time until a body reaches a specific temperature under different boundary conditions. To get the time till the body reaches e.g. 50°C, I run a complete simulation and check the temperature / time afterwards in the value table. As I do not always know how long it will take before I start the simulation, it can happen that the final time set in the analysis setup is to short or much to long. My idea was to set a temperature as an constraint so that the simulation runs till it reaches the specified temperature and then gives me back the necessary simulation time and stops. Unfortunately I did not find any option to set up the simulation in that way. I already searched for equivalent topics with Google but didn't find any. Is there an chance to implement my idea? (with APDL?) Thank you! |
