Hi all, I tried looking at various resources on the ANSYS customer portal but couldn't find an answer.

I have been handed over the task of getting Ansys installed and working on our Linux HPC cluster and am trying to decide whether to keep RHEL on it or revert back to CentOS.

I was told that certain features of Ansys only work on RHEL and not CentOS. Does anyone have info about this as it may help us save some money if both OS offer the same features for Ansys.

Thanks.

I ended up using CentOS. When I was handed over the cluster with Redhat installed on it, it had a lot of configuration issues the last admin did to it. I opened tickets with our paid support and found their support to be terrible. After that experience I recommended we stop renewing.

Same here. We use CentOS. RHEL configuration and support is terrible.
