Hello guys,
I am trying to run a simulation using CFX of parafin deposition. It is just a simplification but i am running a buyont model because i want to understand why the deposit on my experiment is assymetrical. I tried using a initial condition of natural convection using the properties of my mixture and then i tried stoping everything that was below a certain temperature. So first heat was being transported through convection and now it is being transported through convection and conduction depending on where in my domain. The problem is. My energy residuals are slowly diverging and when i set my timescale do automatic and conservative after sometime my residual diverge and then stay constant at a certain level. When I take a look at my results after a few iterations it look like is doing what i expected and then when it diverges the results look absolutely crazy. Also, i expect that after some time the temperature profile would change before the steady state and i dont see that happening, i dont want to increase my physical timescale because i am afraid that the divergence problem is because of that, so right now im running with a very small physcal timescale. I also tried setting a model that had a floid and solid domain as initial condition but its doesnt work the way i would expect. Does anyone have any advice on how to converge this simulation? |
