How to set the velocity inlet angle for cassette air conditioner

Hi there,

I have issues with setting the velocity angle, I'm not too sure how to begin as I'm new to this software. Hope that someone could help me with the velocity inlet angle setup.

Cartesian components

It is probably more intuitive to specify the velocity Cartesian components (rather than magnitude and direction). Do a hand calculation to find what the components are, and then put them into CFX.

Hi Светлана,

Thanks for the quick response and the suggestion. Appreciate it a lot. I did some manual calculation but i'm not sure whether is right. The following attachments are the calculations i did, would u mind checking it for me?

Mistake on the calculation: x-component is +5.2 m/s & z-component is +5.2 m/s

Confirm angles

It looks confusing, let's start with talking about what information you already know. Did I draw it correctly in the attachment? Angle BAC is 30°, and angle BAD is 45°?

Hey,

So sorry for the confusions. I had calculated wrongly and the following pictures are the correct 1. Hope that it is clearer to you this time.

Thank you.
