Can't start FLUENT with Serial - "No cached password"

Hi!

I just started out learning ANSYS Fluent and I came across a problem.
I got the ANSYS Student version, if that's important.

I can start Fluent with no problems when I set the processing options in the launcher to "Parallel"
However, when I try to set it to "Serial" and start Fluent 2 things happen:

a) Fluent gives me this message:

"WARNING: No cached password or password provided.
use '-pass' or '-cache' to provide password"

b) It completely freezes and I have to kill it via Task Manager.

What am I doing wrong? Why is it working with parallel but not serial?

I tried installing the Intel MPI, even though I have an AMD processor. I then tried executing mpiexec -register, but even this didn't help :/

What should I do?

EDIT: Unfortunately, the parallel one doesn't work now either. Please help, I need it for a project ASAP :/

I had the same problem, this was my solution:
-Disable Windows Firewall
-Run Fluent
-Acept all connection permissions
-Able windows firewall
-Enjoy
(In my case, I have to disable firewall before running Fluent)

Hi,
I also have this problem when trying to start fluent (both through workbench and using just fluent directly). I'm using the student eddition of Ansys 19.0.
I have tried disabling the firewall as suggested however that only caused fluent to incounter further errors when trying to start.
Does anyone know of an alternative solution?
