Hi, I got an intake manifold meshed with tethrahedrons and hexa type.
Skewness is about 0,87 but when I add inflation for boundaries maximum Skewness value goes up to 0,99

bad skewness points are in the attachment
Any suggestions?

Try to increase the followings

nSolveIter
nFeatureSnapIter
nRelaxIter

Increase surface feature refinement and surface refinement.

Set maximum skewness to a lower value in meshQualityDict.

and

Dont use tetras on that zone. Non orthogonality is also a problem in terms of tetra cell shape.

Are you sure that you added inflation to the whole interior boundary?
If inflation ends abruptly, it makes highly skewed elements.

In order to increase quality of cells near sharp edges you have to refine that area or make chamfer or fillet.
Although your quality looks pretty bad even without inflation so I would recommend you to refine mesh in problematic areas. (Areas with skewness >0.7)
