It seems that autosave command in the journal file has been changed in ansys 19. When I write

file/read-case foo.cas
solve/set/reporting-interval 200
file/autosave/data-frequency 200
file/autosave/root-name foo
solve/iterate 5000

After printing the 200th step, I don't see any data file. Any idea?

You read only a case file and not the corresponding data file. There's no initialization if this is a clean case. This runs?

Actually I am system admin for setting up that. As I ran the script, the program took about 15 minutes and then exited. So, I think it is fine.
When I work with gui, and press calculate, it says the initialization hasn't been done. Do you want to initialize first and I say yes. So, I think with that script, it will automatically initialize the solution.

If you think something is missing, please let me know.

I don't care if you're a system admin, neither does Fluent. System admin gives you admin rights over your system. It doesn't make Fluent omnipotent.

You need to initialize it. You can do this in the gui if you want and save the .cas and .dat file. And change your script to read case & data (or rcd foo). Fetch the output and verify that it did anything.

It's not "autosave" but "auto-save". This might be the problem.. :-)
