Calculating the frequency of the strain in ANSYS Explicit Dynamics

I was trying to simulate a metal ball drop in Explicit Dynamics.
I was able to model the ball drop and was able to model the strain which occurs at the ball drop.
I had a couple of questions on this

1. I wondering if there was any means to calculate the frequency of the ball drop. I was trying an approach with which the maximum and the minimum time steps can be calculated and the frequency can be obtained from them. In order to change the maximum and minimum time steps from Analysis settings in Explicit dynamics I tried to change that from program controlled to a time of my choosing. However it returned with an error. I was wondering if it would be possible to calculate the frequency or somehow change the time steps in this approach, or is there any other way to calculate the frequency.

2. Also is there any way to generate the waves which are propagating through the structure.
