scowaltho is on a distinguished road
I am looking to model an application of liquid injection into a hot gas combustion chamber, where it vaporizes, decomposes, and reacts with the hot gas flow. The injected liquid is nitromethane, and the hot gas temperature is about 3000 K. The main goal of the analysis is to estimate internal surface heat fluxes which will be used for thermal analysis and design.

We're looking at using Ansys Fluent for this. Would Fluent be a good tool for this type of simulation? If not, what tool would be recommended? If so, can you recommend any resources/examples/papers that describe similar simulations that I could look at to get a better idea how to set up something like this?
