Mesh Type and Method Recommendations

Hi all,

I am conducting a project about the aerodynamic effects of different leading edge geometries. I have 2 3D models which I plan to simulate in Ansys Fluent (one with wavy leading edge and the other with sawtooth serrations at the l.e.). Both in a C-grid with y+ ~1. I have a couple of questions and I hope you can help me by answering them:

i. How can I generate the mesh quicker?

ii. Should I go for structured or unstructured mesh? I am conducting simulations for a range of Angle of attacks. How can I generate a structured mesh that adapts for the different AoA?

iii. Also, I plan to convert the mesh to polyhedral mesh in Ansys Fluent, is this the right decision?

Thanks in advance. If you have any other recommendation pls let me know. Have a great week.

Best regards,

Jesus Roman
