Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate a manifold containing pressurized oil. The latter enters the manifold at a specific flow rate, unknown pressure; there, the bc is mass-flow-inlet, in which I specify the flow rate and the direction normal to the boundary. After that, the oil reaches multiple oil jets. I know the mass flow rate in each oil jet, thus I specify the bc outflow, in which I set the percentage of total flow rate exiting each jet. The material is specified with a density of 950 kg/m2 and a viscosity of 0.0045 kg/m-s. The models employed is the standard k-eps method. With this method, the model is not able to converge. If I try a laminar method, the pressure distribution reaches a stable situation, but in many oil jets I measure a negative pressure (lower than the inlet pressure). Can anybody help me solve this issue and get a stable and meaningful pressure distribution? Cheers Lorenzo |
