Fluent / comparison between adiabatic plate and defined temperatuere plate

If we want to analyze external flow over an adiabatic flat plate in fluent, we can easily do this as a generic problem for laminar and turbulent flow. My first question is, what is the difference between laminar and turbulent flow when creating the mesh for the boundary layer?

My second question is assume that the temperature is defined to the flat plate. Plate temperature is higher than fluid temperature. The fluid can be any substance (air, oil, etc.). In this case, would you change the previous analysis setup for laminar and turbulent flow?
We know that energy equation has to be launched. Except of this, for example, do you need to make changes to the mesh? Or anything else ?

Thank you in advance for your reply,

Regards
