Consecutive Named Selections of multiple similar faces

I'm running simulations of radiators (fluid side only). Each radiator has more than 100 tubes, and I need to calculate the pressure drops through each tube, as well as the individual flow rates.

Until now, I have put faces on each end of every tube (set as interior boundary types) and created named selections for each tube separately. I'm looking for a reliable way to streamline this process, as it's quite laborious.

Is there a way to automate the naming of multiple similar faces, such that they are named consecutively and not together? ie. I wish to name them inlet_1, inlet_2, inlet_3... and not just 'inlets'.

Alternatively, is there a better way of calculating the pressure drops and flow rates through each tube without creating and naming these faces?

I use CFX. Instead of starting off with a full model of all the tubes. If you use mesh transformations in CFX-Pre to create a pattern of tubes from an original, they will be consecutively copied and named as you describe.

Would this work if the tubes are not all the same in length? Or would the tubes need to be identical to achieve this?

Mesh Transformations usually copy the mesh, but you can also scale them non-uniformly. you may need to use several mesh transformation steps to build your geometry. It is hard to give advice on the best way to achieve this without seeing the geometry. I'd advise you to test out mesh transformations to see how they work and how the naming convention numbers everything.
