Estimating the turbulent scale
Hi guys,
I am utilizing FLUENT software to simulate the flow around a 2D cylinder. However, I have chosen not to employ any turbulent model and instead opted for a laminar calculation. The reason for this choice is that a laminar simulation can capture the turbulent characteristics of the flow, which is sometimes referred to as "LES without sub-grid model." At this point, I'm interested in obtaining a rough estimation of the turbulence size as a reference for later meshing of other models. Is there any parameters to took at in order to estimate the turbulent scale? Thank in advance! uno online |
