Falling Water Droplet Simulation
Hi there, I am relatively new to CFD and FLUENT and am currently undertaking a project which involves a falling water droplet in air using the VOF method. I have run a few simulations but have found that the droplet appears to break up after a few milliseconds which is obviously not how it should behave.
I assumed this has something to do with surface tension but cannot find any ways of defining this on the FLUENT menus. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I am using version 6.3 if that makes a difference. Many Thanks |
Hi
I know this is way too late answer to answer this, but you can find surface tension in the phase setting, in the "interaction" should have a surface tension tab. I am currently trying to make my droplet to break up, may i ask how did you get your droplet to break up? Are you using VoF? or can you suggest a tutorial/paper to read? Thanks |
