Cyclone high swirl
 

Hi all,

My problem:
Vanes are integrated in a tube and after this an axial and radial exit.
I use reynolds stress model however residuals and continuity remain at 0.05 for 2000+ iterations.
Mesh is fine enough, BC are pretty straightforward = 1 inlet 2 pressure outlets
incompressible airflow at <0.1Mach.
I even extended the tubes for 500 percent before and after the vanes.


Anybody an idea why this problem is not converging???

I've just completed an analysis for a cyclone + filter unit in CFX and got it to converge... willing to help if needed

Have you post processed the residuals? Where are they remaining high? This will probably give you a clue what is going on.
