Hello everyone, I´m starting with Ansys, Can anyone tell me the difference between Fluent, CFX and ICEM CFD?? I´m going to make a windturbine simulation, which of them should I choose?

Thank you.

Fluent and CFX are solvers whereas ICEM CFD is a mesher. Fluent and CFX are both highly capable of wind turbine simulations. Fluent and CFX can use ANSYS Meshing as a mesher or use ICEM CFD as a mesher. Fluent used to use GAMBIT as its geometry creation and mesher, but the new version is phasing that out.
