volume fraction

I have a multiphase (2 components A and B) flow with one inlet and one outlet.
The A component has a non-zero velocity at the inlet boundary and a volume fraction equal to zero at the inlet boundary.

My question is: The A component will be present in the bulk fluid when the simulation ends?

How it is computed? (a reference to some equations will help)

More details: there is a continous phase and a dispersed one, the model is particle model.

My generic assumption is this: I have to solve a PDE on a domain, I provide boundary conditions (phase A v non-zero at inlet and r=0)

The PDE's solved on the flow domain contain r (volume fraction)?
If they (PDE's) do possess such a quantity means that I do have a non-zero r of phase A in the bulk domain at the end of the simulation.

Isn't it?
