Question Trouble with ansys workbench !!!

Hi all,

When I want to launch ANSYS Workbench 11 in linux CentOS 5.4 64 biti I encoutered the next message:

>su
>password
>./runwb
>./runwb: line 24: 5827 Segmentation fault $DS_INSTALL_DIR/workbench -StartPage $*


What means this error ? How I can fixed? You have any ideea ?

I waiting much early is possible your suggestion, referring to my problem.

Hmm, I can’t tell from here, but I would suggest sending this into to Tech Support… I am not sure what phone number you would use in Romania, but you could try the customer portal… https://www1.ansys.com/customer/

Since you have all the specifics, they are probably your best bet for getting this answered quickly.

Default Workbench 11.0 not available for Linux...

Oops, on my first quick read, I didn’t connect the dots between Workbench 11.0 and Linux… I don’t think Workbench supported Linux at WB 11.0. I am not sure how you even got that far...


You would need Workbench 12.1.1 to be properly supported on Linux (available from the customer portal https://www1.ansys.com/customer/ ). You would also want to check the documentation to make sure it is certified on your particular Linux OS…

I just confirmed that Workbench 11.0 is NOT supported on that operating system...Actually nothing was supported on that Operating system at 11.0.
