Hi!

I'm using ANSYS 12.1 and my CFD solver is FLUENT. I need to simulate the reaction of a vertical plate hinged to the bottom of the ocean, so that it will move back and forth along with the waves.

In Workbench, if the standard FSI project schematic is used: "Fluid Flow (FLUENT)" with "Transient Structural (ANSYS)" I'll have separated solutions. Is there any way to run both solutions at the same time?

I need to simulate and study the flow around the plate in order to select the best geometry according to my purposes. Is it better to write an UDF for the vertical plate regarding the DOF's and its implied force and work just with "Fluid Flow (FLUENT)"??

Thank you
