Dear all, I am getting the following warning while I import the mesh into FLUENT 12.1. The mesh is generated by ICEM CFD v12.1, and it is 2D.
Warning information: 130106 nodes. 129291 quadrilateral cells, zone 10. 257765 2D interior faces, zone 11. 155 2D wall faces, zone 12. 577 2D wall faces, zone 13. 196 2D wall faces, zone 14. 706 2D pressure-far-field faces, zone 15. Building... mesh materials, interface, domains, zones, outer flap main slat int_solid solid Warning: Flow boundary zone 15 is adjacent to a solid zone (10). This problem MUST be fixed before solution can proceed! Done. Preparing mesh for display... Done. What should I do? Any one can help me? thank you. |

Problem setup --> cell zone conditions --> change the zone type of computation domain to fluid.

sorry did you get the answer? the solid zone of my computation is actually solid (Aluminum), so it is not logical to change it to a fluid zone, so what's the solution? regards, Fahimeh |

The problem happened in the meshing process. Because you don't choose the right face as a boundary. If your model contains 3 bodies, and you have to choose and name a face in one of the bodies, you'd better hide the other two bodies so that you don't choose the wrong face. The flow boundary id is the wrong face you chose. Go back to your meshing software and rechoose the face, then there would be no problem.
