Internal Heat generation problem

Hi all,

I am a student and I am a new Ansys CFX (Workbench) user.
I have to insert in my geometry, a cube for instance, an energy source.
I know initially the total energy stored in my cube, so how many Joules I have to put inside my cube, and I know the heat release rate once a temperature condition is reached.
So I would like to put inside my cube this energy, to model an internal heat generation source that starts when I reach a certain temperature and then it stops when I have released all my energy.
How can I introduce this in my model?
The only way is to use a subroutine?
Do you know some tutorials on similar problems?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Luca
