I created 2 squares next to each other with one side in common.
I extruded them one by one, to the same height. Is it possible for me to specify such that they do not merge and share common surfaces? I want my block to have 10 unique selectable sides so I can insert different boundary conditions later. |

Try to Imprint Surface Function:
1: create a line 2 Extrude this line with Imprint Surface and this line will cut your box or block in different part you want |

ben, I'm going to experiment with imprint today, but the trick I just worked out yesterday is to freeze the first body before allowing the 2nd to contact it - and that includes extruding a 2nd body to or from it.
