I was simulating a flow over an aerofoil at low subsonic number to generate a polar and observed a strange phenomenon...
I used an equation t = (atstep+1)*0.0005 to define physical time step for all angle of attacks... I had tested this at stalled angle and obtained good convergence... So with an understanding that the time steps that give good convergence for stalled angle must work fine enough at low angles too went ahead... BUT IT DIVERGED after 40 50 iteration...Please comment on what I observed... |
