Scalar mixing

Hello~

I am new to Autodesk CFD tool.

I would like to model mixing two fluids, and I found 'Scalar Mixing' from User guide.

Does anyone have experience with this, scalar mixing?

Cause I am little confused with their manual.

Thanks~

From the manual, I think scalar quantity is mass fraction.

I have 2 different inlets. one with scalar boundary condition 0 and the other one is scalar 1. If mass flow rates are identical I should have 0.5 at exit for conservation of mass, right?

But I have mass imbalance on my result. total mass and species defined with scalar mixing for non-negligible amount, say more than 10%. no matter how I reduce convergence criteria and mesh. (to be honest, I did not reduce mesh real fine one because of calculation time. But I think I have reasonably small mesh size)

Any suggestion for mass imbalance?
