2 models results comparison

I have a situation that looks weird to me.

I simulated the temperature variation of 40 vs 180 steel rolls in a vessel(not sure correct term), starting at 650°C and ending at an "X value" temperature.

The strange thing is(at least i think it is), that the model with 180 rolls cooled down faster and finished the simulated time at a lower temperature.

Is this physically correct? Maybe its just me who does not understand that much about physics.

I imagine it is because the more steel rolls creates more air intake in my inlets and therefore making them colder than the 40 rolls.

But still, a confirmation that this is the reason would be awesome.

Or maybe somthing diferent? Hopefully i have not simulated this in a incorrect manner.

Best regards,

Ivan Tijerina.

That sounds weird to me also, can you share what this looks like?
Is it just a pattern of rolls? Did you ever try the official CFD forum? I would have picked this up a little quicker there :)

Are you able to share a picture of the setup to help explain what you assigned? Far better than just words.
