typing commands in AVL Fire

I was reading and following an example in fire turorials, there was a sectences which confused me"The transfer matrix can now be generated typing, in the Case directory, the command
"cfdwm_solver -mode=matrices -fem_output=cyl.mtx" I am confused where should I type the above command? any comment is welcomed. (the above command is in the 11th page of tutorial example ( CFD-FEM: TRANSIENT FLOW WITHIN A CYLINDRICAL DUCT) |

Which operating system do you use? On Linux this you can do in the shell. On Windows there is a cygwin shell available (Startbutton > Program > AVL > FIRE > ..)
Looks like a normal dos shell but has linux syntax. There you have to change to the directory (cd <path>/...), where your case is located. Then you can work with the command line and start cfdwm_solver .... or other commandlinetolls like cfdIntegrate |
