Mapped boundary conditions

I am using AVL 2008. I wanna to formulate the boundary conditions on a wall. there is formula example in AVL Fire (version 2008) in Formula examples(boundary conditions) entitled "mapped from xyz-value file". the file should be in .dat format and contain value(eg. temperature) for each xyz. I made a xyz-value file in .dat format and save it on desktop. I ran rhe program but it terminates abnormally. I wanna to know in which format should I type the specifications and values in .dat file and where should I save it?Thanks

Mapping xyz file

Hi,
the .dat file should consist of four columns the coordinated x y z and the value (for example temperature).
