Hi dears
I simulated a SI engine for 20 CA. from 380 to 400. when I see the results in .fla file, mean volume in every timestep is the same and the piston doesn't move! I can see temperature contours in every step without my engine moving!! what is the reason u think? I appreciate it if u help me... I need the answer... thank you so much... |

Hi Ms Shahrbanoo
I think you make a mistake in direction of piston motion. X Y Z . First of all see your coordinate of piston and then enter the 1 or -1 for X or Y or Z direction. It is noticeable that 1 or -1 is different. Do you examine piston motion in dummy run? If your dummy run is correct you should not have problem. Best regards Amin_u50 |

Hi Mr Amin
yes, my dummy run works correctly! in the result, when I see the video that I get from my case, nor the piston, neither the valves move!! I really don't know what to do ![]() |

Hi...
Really?? I don't know. Ok. I guess your boundary condition doesn't work well. Maybe your problem arises from boundary condition. Check boundary movement Best regards Amin_u50 |

I am using avl 2014 formy simulation and i am having the same problem i have set my piston boundary condition to mesh movement but the results show that the piston is not moving and the volume is constant for each crank angle. What is the solution to this problem it would be so helpful if anybody can guide me about this problem. Thanks
