Hi all,

I'm running a simulation related to in-cylinder swirl motion (quite similar to the Application Examples Tutorial) as this is my final year project at the uni.

My results show that my cylinder head CD is 0.45 (0.43 on the flow bench) which is a good value/difference. The y+ is about 30 and I want to decrease it.

My initial mesh has 730711 cells, max. cell size of 0.003m and some level 2 refinement level on the valve seat and cylinder top surface.

However, whenever I try to decrease max. cell size (to 0.002m) or even add a level 3 or 4 number of boundary layers, to achieve better results of CD and y+, I get some kind of error which I can find on the .fla file. It is something regarding "memory allocation" or "AMG allocation".

This machine has 4GB RAM.

I wonder if you guys have any solution for this issue or tips.
Please let me know if you need further information.

Regards,
