how to combine dieselFoam and nonNewtonianIcoFoam for spray dryer simulation

Posted November 8, 2010 at 01:52 by troosta

Dear all,
I try to combine tow solvers of OPENFOAM, dieselFoam and nonNewtonianIcoFoam slover for a spray dryer simulation. I need a algorithm to do it. I asked this question from Dr. Ville Anton Vuorinen, and send me this answer:"
In one conversation Niklas Nordin explains how the lagrangian classes match
with other solvers.
Basically the actual steps to create the solver were really easy.
Just including some .H files and adding a spray source term....

Elvis:
There is the idea of a special interest group teaching http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Sig_Teaching
But I think Professor Janoske has moved from Mosbach to another "bigger" University in Germany.
But there are allready examples of lectures with OpenFoam

Trying to include glibc in my build-gcc scripts...

Updated August 27, 2011 at 14:37 by wyldckat (fixed typos...)

If you don't know what I mean by build-gcc, read this first: Automated scripts for building gcc 4.4.x and 4.5.x for using with OpenFOAM 1.7 series

Sometime ago, a problem was detected when using one of my build-gcc scripts (see OpenFoam 1.7.0 on RHEL 4.6 post #3) about no valid libc.so being found during the build procedure. This was later fixed by adding the proper lib folder path to LD_LIBRARY_PATH (read post #9 on that thread).

Nonetheless,...

Greetings to all!

This is an open letter to all OpenFOAM users that wish to contact me asking about problems they are having with OpenFOAM.

Please ask in the public forum. There is a good forum thread that explains how to get: https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/op...-get-help.html

This blog post is meant to centralize my efforts for providing gcc build scripts to the OpenFOAM community. It provides build scripts for gcc 4.3.x, 4.4.x and 4.5.x series.

NOTE: If you don't have internet on the computer where you want to run this script, you can still run these scripts, because they will provide you with instructions on which files to download and where to place them!

These scripts are based on the scripts provided with the patches for cross-compiling...
