I have an imported mesh and would like to create cyclic boundaries. The problem is that It will not recogonize the second boundary when I try to match them. I've defined both on the cylindrical co-od as ALL REGULAR ARBITRARY. i however have managed to match a different mesh generated on prostar. Could it be that the co-od sys is off-placed. Can anybody help?

hi Robert,

The best way to check the offsets between the two boundaries is to use the command vdist vx vx and then pick 2 different vertex points on each of the boundary regions that you want to match. Do this between several vertices on each region to check to make sure the distance is constant for all points. If they are not, you'll probably have to create a new coordinate system so that they are. You should refer to the User's Guide if you do not know how to do this.

I managed to match 48 out of 50 cells. The boundary check says one of the cyclic boundaries is smaller, but when I use the utility command to get the area , they both have the same area. I've tried to redefine the boundaries but it still won't match two of them, Got any Idea as to what is wrong.

Hello Robert,

You might try to increase the matching tolerance in PROSTAR. In that case, either the PROSTAR help utility (on function CYARBITRARY) or the user guide (p. 7-38) will help you. Good luck.
