Hi everyone,

I use StarCD to model laminarising flow in a heat exchanger, and I would like to implement a low Reynolds-number k-e model through the sorkep.f and vistur.f routines.

However, when specifying the use of the subroutine for turbulent viscosity vistur.f, the equations for k and epsilon are somehow inactivated. Unfortunately it is not possible to reactivate epsilon.

Does user-specification of the entire turbulence model require special settings I may not be aware of?

I would greatly appreciate your advice,

Jasper

Ps: It would of course be possible to implement k and epsilon using scalars (and have better control on k-e boundary definition), but that would exclude the use of cyclic boundaries.

Thanks, I have spoken to Jeong Min Seo. I hadn't realized switch 12 alone invoked vistur.f (Usefull, if you do not want Star to default to VIST = 0.01*VISM in laminarising flow),

Cheers,

Jasper
