Is it the bug to save file in star-cd 3.10a

I used to do the simulation with star-cd3.05b. Now I got the new verion of 3.10a. But it can not read the file of 3.05b. So I save the coded file in 3.05b, and then read those coded file, such as vertex file and cell file in 3.10a. But the porblem is that I could not save the model in 3.10a. everytime I saved the file and quit. I could not resume the saved file, it do not display any wrond message, but the contant is empty. Is it the bugs?

I dont know if its a bug or not, but 3.10a is about 2 years or more out of date. No one will be interested in debugging it. Why don't you switch to 3.15? It is far more robust all around than 3.10a.

It sounds like a similar problem that I have experienced in version 3.15. My mistake was that I was using IBM-AIX with a fortran compiler that was too old (compared to the requirements of starcd). Changing to a machine with a newer version of fortran fixed the problem!

I have installed 3.05 and 3.10 on the same machine. All can run without fortran problem. Maybe it's not the problem of fortran complier.
