I want to create a model which consists of one long round pipe(about 6m long) and one big cubic volume(about 1m3),one end of the pipe should enter into the volume about 200mm long.So I want to simulate that pipe's end by creating a baffle in the volume.I just simulate the one quarter of the whole model.

But when I created the volume by dividing it into some blocks,I found when I tried to create the baffle,in the big volume there were always some gap existed between the different blocks surfaces.

So are there some means to eliminate those gaps? Or are there some other means to create a curve baffle(its section shape is like a rainbow)?

Thank you very much for your help!

You can just leave the cracks/gaps there and they'll act like thin walls, just that you can't set porosity or thermal resistance values unlike with baffles.

Baffles can only be used when the vertices of the cell faces on both sides of a baffle coincide (and are to be merged later). Don't forget to apply the baffle boundary type to the baffle cells too.

Hi I am desigining a model of about .025mts*.005*2.44mts. The flow is going to be in the direction of 2.4 mts its from the bottom to the top and its a slot like a wall made up of 6 faces of which 4 of walls the side ones the bottom gonna be velocity inlet top gonna be pressure outlet. The problem i am facing is that i switched the edges and got a volume but it looks like there is no flow happening in the centre this is a lamilar flow.
