Hi

I'm have 1.5GB of ram and I'm having a bit of a problem with executables greater than about 700MB, they don't run. I either get a segmentation fault or if I starlink -Y then the executable is not created I get the error message /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lc. I'm using Absoft v7.5 compiler with both patches. Has anyone any experience of this?

Thanks

Allan

Obviously, the libc is not found. Either it is not installed or the linker cannot find it beacuse the path ld is looking to for finding the libraries is wrong. Please check both.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I got fed up with mandrake and other problems I've had with large exe's and sementation faults, so I installed SuSE, which CD recommend, and everything works fine now.
