Re: moving grids

If your are running in serial perhaps you do not have a . in your path. You can check this by typing 'which PROSTAR' in the working directory.

If you are runing in parallel, then maybe you probably need to put the file "PROSTAR" in the first processor directory as well as any other files needed by prostar to move the mesh. Typically these are the *.cgrd files and possibly the param.prp (tip: do a memo write from prostar and then copy it out). The best way to do all this file copying is to use the options within prohpc

i'm running serial. To make sure the error i tried using moving mesh tutorial (11 & 7). still occur that error.

i type ./star ,each time to run star executables.

when i type which PROSTAR, yes, i found the message told that no PROSTAR in (/bin: /usr/bin : ......)

How can i fix these problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: moving grids

then you probably need to put a "." in your path variable. Check your .bashrc/.cshrc.

Re: moving grids

Ok thanks. But my environment setup is set on rc.local.usr,then i put in my .bash_profile >> . /etc/rc.local.usr

Actually my linux will appear an error message >>could not open or create .gconf-test-locking-file,errno;13 permission denied. Is it affect my starcd.

Can you share with me,where can i get the good internet reference or help about linux.

One more thing,i'm wonder if i want to remove my starcd and reinstall back, because linux dont have add/remove function as in windows.

Very appreciate with you help.Thank a lot.

Re: moving grids

I would suggest you

1/contact your linux distributor assuming you have purchased some form of support.

or

2/ "google" the error, normally you can find something useful. I did it and found some messages from other people with similar problems

Good luck
