is there any way you can get data at any given location into the post register.

try this... I am not sure whether this works or not. Put cells of interest in cset. Then load pst file. Get required data (getc). plot it.

Hi Carno! I am not very sure i understand your suggestion. actually i have experimental data at certain points of the domain. i want the data at those points in the post register. Thanks, Prabodh

If you define sensor points at the locations of the experimental data, you can map the solution to those points. They can be brought into the graph registers but I don't think they can be put into the standard post registers.

Re: Post Processing

If you want to compare experimental data with your analysis data, why you want to put only that data in post register? 1) You want to put that data in post register means you want to plot it. For that try my earlier suggestion. i.e. Put the cells at your desired locations (where you have experinmental data) in one set(cset). then load the pst file. Then list the post registers and see the results. 2) If you want to just compare the numbers you can moniter the variable(p,T,u,v,w) at selected locations by setwrite command.

Hope I understood your question correctly.

Thanks
