Surface cleanup

I created geometry and meshed(surface)in Gambit and exported the file as geom.neu;I imported the geometry into StarCD using Gambit "geom.neu" and removed all fluis cells using live surf cmmand. when I checked in proam for errors it shows some 42000 multiple edges and zero free edges. Can anybody help me how to remove automatically all the multiple edges?. If not is there any way of importing geometry in to StarCD other than .neu,; Is there any file format which is the most apropriate one for starCd.

thanks

James

Re: Surface cleanup

sorry, but that makes no sense, what you are telling us. when you created a surface mesh in gambit, how can you dele fluid cells in prostar? for live surf command you need fluid cells, shells will then be extracted from then.

I think, you may have double cells - check for them and dele the double cells

Re: Surface cleanup

prostar can read meshes in any of these formats: patran, nastran, ansys, sdrc, cgns, gambit, and tgrid. Not all information is available in every format, but most translate basic cells and vertices. If the gambit format isn't working, export one of the others and give it a try.
