Hi all,

who actually can import cel and vrt files with the latest linux proam version? I can't believe proam always doubles the surfacemesh. Try the following:

open meshwizard read STAR-CD Cell/Vertex File TOOLS- CELL TOOLS - CELL LIST

mesh is doubled and you can't work with it anymore!

real nice

hmm, it doesn't appear to double up on me

here is what I just tried:

1) start proam 2) vc3d 0 10 10 0 10 10 0 10 10 3) cset all 4) live surf crea 5) cset news fluid 6) cdel cset 7) cset all 8) cplot 9) cdsave

now I have 600 surface shells in my .vrt and .cel files. If I restart proam and import using the mesh wizard, I still only have 600 surface shells.

Or am I misunderstanding your problem?

I have a mesh generated with ICEM. cel vrt inp files are exported from ICEM which should be imported with the mesh wizard. Promam reads all the vertices and cells without any complaints but when I open the cell tables the surface mesh is doubled. You are absolutly right. If you generated the mesh with the command line or if the mesh is read in with cread the problem dos not arise. This means Don't use the wizard under Linux and everything is fine!!

have a nice day
