Pressure plot problem

hi all i did a simple flow analysis of exhaust piping system with inlet (uniform velocity) and outlet(flow split = 1) BCs. with turbulence - k-e model

instead of getting more or less uniform pressure value across inlet surface, i got it as various colour bands depicting a range of values over the surface

This should not be the case where uniform velocity is specified. {there is no turbulence at inlet.}

Please clarify regards srivatsan

Re: Pressure plot problem

Firstly do not average the cell data (cave command). While plotting put the cell average option off. Plot and see. It may be averaging the pressure with shells at inlet, which do not have any pressure data.

Re: Pressure plot problem

hi carno thanks for the reply

i didnt do any averaging option at all.. i just plotted the pressure values..

i did one more std nozzle problem (with similar BCs) where i got uniform pressure at inlet.

please clarify vatsa
