Hey guys, Im a budding automotive engineer trying to colate all of my wind tunnel and CFD results for my final year project.. but im stuck on how to ge a pressure coefficient plot against pressure tapping position, which I cant seem to find a function allowing me to do this?Im using the most recent version of StarCD

Does anyone have any idea how I could go about this? Thanks for your time

Chris

Hiya thanks for that, now im stuck with actually getting it to work. Im trying to find pressure coefficient plot, but everytime I try to progress through the commands its keep saying that uref, aref and sref cannot be zero? Any ideas on how to get around this?

Cheers

Chris

Look at the help for the ACOEF command. You need to fill in the appropriate variables. The help command gives you the defintions of UREF, AREF and SREF

i am afinal year Mechanical engg. student and i am doing an project on Aerodynamic.i am using a airfoil and testing in wind tunnel.but unfortunately the tunnel did not give me the results so that i can plot a pressure coefficient and x/c graph.can u give me software that will end my difects.

Hey mate

Do you not have any surface pressure tappings? Ideally you need to retest your wing, and put pressure tappings all around a selected part (normally the middle to reduce boundary layer effects). I would recommend doing this if its for your final year project, as an external examiner could come in and ask to see how you tested your wing and how you calculated your data.

Hope this helps

Chris
